Electrominds
About

An engineering journal, written in public.

Notes I wished existed when I started — written for the version of myself who didn't yet know what he was doing.

Electrominds is a personal blog. It exists to teach me what I think I already know, and to leave a usable trail behind for anyone walking a similar path.

Most engineering content online is either too shallow (listicles that don't survive contact with reality) or too narrow (deep dives into one tool's flavour-of-the-month feature). I wanted to write the third kind: framework-agnostic, first-principles notes that explain why things are the way they are. Slow to read, slower to write, but useful for years.

What's here

Backend from First Principles — 39 modules walking through backend engineering. The first 24 are based on what I learnt from Sriniously's YouTube playlist; modules 25-39 extend it. If the original creator's work helped you here, please go support them.

DevOps & Cloud Engineering — 36 lessons covering the full DevOps lifecycle. Linux, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP, Terraform, observability, security, SRE, GitOps, and edge. The bias is toward making the right thing the easy thing.

Coming later — AI/ML and electronics fundamentals. Same approach: read the source, write the notes, publish the notes.

What this isn't

Not a SaaS, not a course, not a gateway to "premium content," and not a funnel for anything. The site has no logins, no email capture, no comment section. It's notes on the open web, the way the web used to be.

How it's built

Vanilla HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript. No frameworks. Generated from a Python script and a single data file. Hosted free on Cloudflare Pages. The whole site fits in a 1 MB zip.

Reading takes about as long as it takes you to read. Tracking is minimal — only Cloudflare's anonymous, cookieless analytics. See the privacy page for details.
