Privacy.
In plain English. Short, because there's not much to say.
Last updated: May 7, 2026What I collect
Almost nothing.
This site has no accounts, no logins, no comment section, no email capture. There's nothing to collect.
Analytics
I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count pageviews. It tells me which posts get read and roughly where readers are coming from (country level), but it does not:
- Set cookies
- Build a profile of you across visits
- Track you across other sites
- Record your IP address in a way that can identify you
- Send your data to advertisers
It's the cleanest analytics tool I'm aware of. There's no consent banner because there's nothing to consent to.
Cookies
None set by this site.
If you toggle dark mode, your preference is stored in your browser's localStorage on your own device. It never leaves your machine.
Third parties
Two third parties touch your browser when you load this site:
- Cloudflare — hosts the site and serves the pages. They see incoming requests for security and performance purposes (DDoS protection, caching). Their privacy policy is here.
- Google Fonts — the typefaces (Playfair Display, Inter, JetBrains Mono) load from Google's CDN. Google sees the request. Google's privacy policy.
That's the entire list. No tracking pixels, no ad networks, no social media beacons, no chat widgets, no heatmap tools, no retargeting scripts.
If things change
!If I ever add advertising or a newsletter, this page will be updated and I'll mention it in a post on the home page. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Anything new gets the same plain-English treatment.
